How much does it cost and do you have different packages?

If I pay up front, where is the incentive for you to sell/let my property?

Good question, often asked. Quite simply, the amount of office time per property (admin) is huge and takes a lot of staff time, the cost of having your property on the different portals each month is also very expensive and combine that with the cost of having a For Sale board outside a property that is not moving soon mounts up, one board might have sold 10's of properties in the past. When you combine these factors together, and with such a small profit margin it is in our very best interest to sell your property quicker than a traditional Estate Agent.

Are you a member of a Governing body such as The Property Ombudsman?

Yes we are a member of The Property Ombudsman and also employee NAEA staff when possible.

How long have you been trading for?

Online Property UK has been going since late 2008, we registered as a Limited Company in 2009 and will soon be entering our 4th year of succsessful trading.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. The price we charge includes everything, including a Online Property UK forsale board delivered, erected and removed. 

When do I have to pay for my property sale/letting?

You pay for your property listing after you have been in contact with our team and have a account handler, they will guide you though the entire process and take payment. Depending on which package you choose will equal the amount you either pay upfront or on completion.

If I have more than one property to sell will I get a discount?

What is the easiest way to find out the value of properties in my area?

There are a number of websites that keep such records. Most of them are free to use, though they often require signing up. A simple google search for "Property prices" should bring up a suitable list of websites.

What if I am already using an Estate Agent?

This depends on the contract you have signed with your Estate Agent. Generally online advertising (Online Property UK) and private newspaper advertising does not automatically affect  "sole agency" contracts from Estate Agents. We advise that you check this with your Current Estate agent. If you list your property elsewhere and break the "sole agency contract the Estate Agent could charge you commission even if they have not sold your property or introduce you to the buyer.

Can you sell your property without an High Street Estate Agent?

Of course

93% of home movers start their search online. The days of people driving and looking in Estate Agents windows have been replaced by sites such as Right Move and Zoopla. We market your property on many of these websites as would a traditional Estate Agent, we offer all the same services and more often than not we offer them at a better rate and our level of customer service is unrivaled. 

Do we cover the entire United Kingdom?

We cover England, Scotland and Wales. We are looking into expanding into other regions, so please get in contact.

Can I update my property details any time?

Yes you can call the office and we can edit your property details for you, or you log into your account 24/7 unless the website is offline for necessary work. You can change any details such as Asking price, Upload new photos, Contact details and manage your online booking calendar.

Who decides the value of my property?

Ultimately, the price is decided by YOU, the seller. However, it would be foolish to pull this figure out of thin air without taking into consideration the value of neighbouring properties. Please contact us at support@onlinepropertyuk.com as we have the ability to use AVM systems (Automated Valuation Models) which are accurate systems to value property. There are also websites such as "mouseprice" which will give you a free rough idea of your properties value. If you are unsure about the value of your property we would advise you to get a local professional property valuation expert in to value your property. Can be found in many house hold directories. 

Can I go through more than one estate agent?

Yes you can, but only if you sign the appropriate contract. Ask your account handler for more information.

Do I need a For Sale board?

For Sale boards cover your local and non-internet market. For Sale boards are still a very effective marketing tool. Our For Sale boards are managed by an external company who completely manage every aspect. The erection, board maintenance, addition of sold slip/under offer slip and the removal of the board. Should you not wish for a For Sale board then please let us know when listing your property. Any feedback on our For Sale boards and the service is greatly appreciated.

Should I spend more time making improvements to the exterior of the house or the inside?

Both. Ensure the exterior of the property is neat and tidy, and the interior warm and inviting a simple coat of paint can make a massive difference to a potential purchaser.

Do you sell our personal details?

No we operate a strict privacy policy and do not sell any of your private details to any other companies. After you have marked your property as sold we securely delete all of your property details and your private details including your vendor account if required.

Should I allow surveys to be done on the property?

This is up to your discretion most people do not require surveys before they purchase. If you deny a potential purchaser a survey they may call off the sale.
